What a week! This time last week I was on my way to the Made on the Left Market to hold my first market stall. It was such good fun. So strange to be on the other side of a craft fair as a stallholder but so interesting to look at it all from a different point of view. There's so many things to think about - how the stall is set up, whether things are accessible, signage, bags etc. My lovely friend from my bookclub had a stall there too and had asked that we could be next to each other and thank goodness she did as it was so nice to have someone to chat to throughout the day - and to look after everything for loo breaks! The other stall holders were lovely too and the organisers were brilliant! The Hyde Park Hotel is a great venue for it and I hope they hold more of the markets there next year.
Then Monday was my birthday and back to work at my old job. It was great to be back among friends. Unfortunately my Dad was a bit sick that evening though and I ended up spending three hours at the Emergency Department with him. Thankfully he is ok and on the road to recovery. I'm not sure if Monday is such a good day for birthdays really... but my hubby cooked a beautiful roast (which was delicious and much appreciated at 10pm that night!) and lots of cake was eaten throughout the week.
And my youngest sister Verity is flying back to Japan today and we've just been wishing her bon voyage. I miss her already.
A very busy week. Thank goodness it's now the weekend and there's time to relax... and do some more crafting ;) Hurrah!
