What a momentous day. How fantastic that Barack Obama won. Both he and John McCain gave great speeches. I feel a bit like we should have been able to vote too as the media coverage and lead-up to today went on forever!!! It feels good knowing the President of the United States is a man of this century, who has the background he has, which links so many people together, who has the life experience he's had (living in Indonesia, of mixed ethnicity etc), who loves his family and who has a brain - and he's not bad looking too!! The footage of people celebrating in Kenya - and America! - was good to see. Great news and good luck to him inheriting all the woes that America is currently encountering - and the rest of the world - although if anyone can navigate America through, it sounds like he can. What a wonderful moment in American history and a wonderful moment in the history of the World. Hurrah for Obama!

Lets hope this marks a change of direction, not just for the USA, but globally, toward a more peaceful and united world.

Isn't it amazing? I'm so thankful the election went the way it did. I was an Obama supporter from the very beginning, and volunteered with his campaign. I'm so proud of our country and so confident in his abilities. I've started rereading Obama's "Dreams from My Father" and highly recommend it if you haven't read it yet.
And I love your cats--adorable as always!
